Kalyani R. Trivedi, MD

Kalyani R. Trivedi, MD, FAAP, FSCAI, is Director, Ambulatory Pediatric Cardiology Services at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Trivedi’s clinical focus is on the congenital and acquired heart disease and echocardiography.

Dr Trivedi earned Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree in 1985 and Doctor of Medicine degree in 1989 from Gujarat University. She completed general pediatrics training in the United Kingdom from 1991 to 1994, where she became a member of the Royal College of Physicians. Dr. Trivedi remained in the UK to pursue specialized training in pediatric cardiology, which she completed in 1997. She then moved to the United States and completed her pediatric residency at Columbia College in 1998 and pediatric cardiology fellowship at Columbia University in 2000. Following this, Dr. Trivedi completed pediatric interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Toronto and Stanford University in 2003. Prior to joining the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein, she served as pediatric cardiac Interventionalist and from 2015 onward as division chief of pediatric cardiology.

Dr. Trivedi’s research focuses on quality and outcomes in pediatric cardiology in alignment with her clinical focus. She has given numerous invited presentations nationally and internationally, and her work has been published in many peer reviewed journals, books, and abstracts. She has served as a reviewer for various professional journals such as Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, Cardiology in the Young, the Journal of Interventional Cardiology, the International Journal of Cardiology and Circulation Cardiovascular Interventions.

Dr. Trivedi is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Pediatric Cardiology. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), and a member of the American College of Cardiology (ACC).
