Dr. Sohita Torgalkar is an internal medicine physician with White Plains Hospital Physician Associates. Board certified in Internal Medicine, Lifestyle Medicine and Obesity Medicine, and certified by The Menopause Society, she provides comprehensive primary care for adults, with expertise in preventive care, women's midlife health, weight management and reducing the risk of chronic disease through evidence-based lifestyle interventions.

Dr. Torgalkar has more than 20 years of experience in academic medicine, primary care and hospital medicine. Before joining White Plains Hospital Physician Associates, she served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she cared for inpatients while teaching and mentoring medical students and residents.

She has also served as a Medical Advisor for Summus Global, providing telehealth consultations to patients across the country.

Dr. Torgalkar earned her B.S. degree from Cornell University and her medical degree, cum laude, from SUNY Upstate Medical University. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine with a special focus in Primary Care at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. In addition to her clinical practice, she has authored peer-reviewed publications and educational resources and has been an invited lecturer on women's health, lifestyle medicine and work-life balance.

She believes in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care that empowers individuals to take an active role in their health at every stage of life.
