William K. Skinner, MD

William Skinner, MD, is an attending physician and Associate Professor at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Skinner’s clinical focus is in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer, lung cancer and radiation immune reactions.

In 1996, Dr. Skinner completed his Bachelor of Science in biology at the U.S. Air Force Academy. He then attended the University of Virginia, earning his Doctor of Medicine in 2000. Dr. Skinner completed his postdoctoral training in radiation oncology at Montefiore Medical Center from 2006 to 2010.

Dr. Skinner’s research focuses on the mitigation and prevention of radiation-induced injury and the interaction of radiation and the immune system. His research has been shared through peer-reviewed journals, oral presentations and poster presentations.

Dr. Skinner is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology. He is a member of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiation and Oncology, the American College of Radiology, the Radiation Research Society and the American Brachytherapy Society.
